Palindromes
Palindromes are fun. Wikipedia defines them as a word, phrase, number or other sequence of units that reads the same in either direction. Some of them are pretty well know. For example Mom and Dad are both palindromes. So are the words, radar, pop, eye and bob.
Some of the palindromic sentences are pretty well know too. Usually "Madam, I'm Adam" comes up during any discussion of palindromes. There are some pretty interesting web sites totally devoted to these oddities and they come in all languages.
It is funny reading some of them and wondering just how tired/drunk/slap-happy the person was when he/she wrote it.
I found several pages that accepted submissions from visitors. I've included some samples.. This one is just original and it made me laugh. Notice that "Dave" here just stopped his sentence and started writing his sentence backwards
Hello my name is Dave, if I did not use palindromes I would sound like this "siht ekil dnuos dluow I semordnilap esu ton did I fi evad si eman ym olleH!"
