Spyware info Part 3

I mentioned briefly products that say they are spyware removers but are actually hidden spyware or malware in disguise.  One way to find out  is to visit   the Rougue/Suspect  Anti Spyware Programs list.

There are some great articles on the bottom of that page.  I have been asked why "they" don't make this stuff illegal.  There are several articles  where the FTC did  prosecute some companies.  The problem is that while it may be illegal here, (in the US), we can't do anything about  other parts of the world, where it is not illegal.  It is a very profitable if not sleezy business, just like SPAM.

I'm not trying to scare anyone off the computer.  I can sugesst you get a Mac ;-) that's a joke., so don't write me and do any Mac bashing.  I have both.  I like my Mac better but I use my PC a lot too.

Anyway, I use my computers almost non stop and this is  the first time in a long time, I've gotten a nasty infection.  Just don't get cocky, get the reccommended programs (most are free) and don't forget, that virus program bundled with your PC, is only a trial.  MacAfee and Norton, both have to be paid for every year.  I've used both and as  far as I'm concerned they aren't worth the trouble they cause.

Happy surfing.
